Easy setup, good data

Switched to Mint for the 5GB 3 month plan. Setup with my existing phone was quick. Data speeds are good enough. Happy with it.

Great value, first time user

This was my first time trying Mint Mobile. I grabbed the Unlimited 3 month plan after seeing a 'buy 3 months get 3 months free' deal. It felt like a really good discount, and I saved a lot compared to my old carrier. Activating the eSIM was pretty straightforward on my iPhone 15. The service has been good so far, no complaints. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth.

Consistent and reliable

I'm a repeat customer, this is my third renewal with Mint Mobile. I've always gone with the 20GB 12 month plan because it just works for me. The service consistency is what keeps me coming back; I haven't noticed any significant changes in coverage or speed since my first order. The renewal process was smooth as always, just a few clicks. It's nice not having to worry about my phone bill every month.

Amazing service and savings!

I just switched to Mint Mobile and I'm so glad I did! I got the Unlimited 12 month plan and the savings are incredible. The eSIM activated instantly on my Google Pixel 8 Pro, which was super convenient. Data is fast, calls are clear, and I even used the mobile hotspot without issues. I'm telling everyone I know about this! It's a fantastic service.

Good service, minor hiccups

I got the 15GB 6 month plan for my wife and me. The service itself has been really good, no dropped calls and data speeds are fine for daily use. Porting our numbers took a bit longer than I expected, about 24 hours, but customer service was helpful when I called. I wish there was an easier way to track data usage for multiple lines in the Mint Family plan, it's a little clunky right now. Overall, it's a solid value though.

Quick question about the 3 months free deal. Is that only for new customers, or can I snag it if I'm renewing my plan?

R Raj Vargas 1 month ago
Pretty sure that's a new customer thing, like for your first plan purchase. Doesn't usually apply to renewals, those have their own discounts sometimes though.

Yeah, afaik it's always for new activations. They want to get you in the door with that kind of promo.

Anyone tried using an eSIM with Mint Mobile? Is it a pain to set up or pretty straightforward?

K Kevin 4 weeks ago
Super easy actually. I activated my iPhone 15 with an eSIM a few months ago, took like 5 minutes. No physical SIM to worry about.

Yeah, I did it for my Pixel. Just follow the instructions on their site, it's pretty seamless.

Thinking of switching from Visible. How does Mint compare to Visible in terms of data speed and overall service? Anything to watch out for?

R Renee 1 month ago
I switched from Visible a while back and honestly, Mint's data speeds feel more consistent for me. Visible had weird deprioritization sometimes.

Mint uses T-Mobile's network, Visible uses Verizon's. So it really depends on which network is stronger in your area. For me, T-Mobile coverage is better where I am.

Is Mint Mobile actually legit, or is it one of those sketchy prepaid carriers that disappear after a year? Heard some good things but still a bit skeptical.

L Laura 3 weeks ago
Totally legit. Been with them for almost two years now. It's T-Mobile's network, just at a much better price point.

Ryan Reynolds was an owner, they're definitely legit. They just save money by not having physical stores and selling in bulk.

Hey guys, thinking of switching to Mint. I live in Seattle, WA. Anyone know if the coverage is decent there?

C Carly 1 month ago
Yeah, I'm in Seattle too and it's been solid for me. Never had issues with calls or data downtown or around the U-District.

Coverage was actually surprisingly good when I visited last year. I was a bit worried since it's prepaid but T-Mobile's network holds up there.

I'm thinking about getting one of their phones with a plan, like the new Pixel. Do they do financing for devices or is it all upfront?

F Faith C. 1 month ago
They do offer financing options for phones! I got my Samsung A54 through them and split the payments up.
2
T Tara 1 month ago
Yeah, they partner with someone for financing. You don't have to pay for the whole phone at once, which is nice.

Considering the Unlimited plan, but I travel internationally a lot. How does their international roaming work? Do you just add credit?

J Josh Whitfield 1 month ago
You add international roaming credit to your account. It's pay-as-you-go basically, but you have to make sure you load it up beforehand.

S Sarah K. 1 month ago
It's not like included roaming, you definitely have to buy credit for it. Check their rates for the countries you visit, it can add up.
